The president of Ghana, Mr. Nana Afuko-Addo, is making policies that support the multinational and best car manufacturing companies to set up their assembling plants in Ghana. These policies will lower the costs of cars for the people of Ghana and result in immense growth in employment.

The Policies

President Afuko-Addo has been a hero for Ghana who is promoting the local assembling plants in Ghana for multinational automotive companies. The president stated, “If Volkswagen moves, other auxiliary German companies will also establish in the nearby areas. If Nissan moves, other Japanese Automobile companies and auxiliary companies will also move."

As he indicates, many other auxiliary companies will follow suit and want to open branches in the same country as the famous company. This will lead to a lot more economical and fiscal stability. The funds and investments will guarantee growth on a larger scale.

He took a step in the right direction when different renowned companies started setting up their assembling plants in Ghana. As a result, there are a few more car manufacturing companies with plants in the completion stage in Ghana, KIA, Isuzu, and Hyundai. Their commercial production plants are in the finishing stages of the plants leading to a higher percentage of employment in Ghana and lowered prices of cars available locally.

Applauding the efforts of the President of Ghana, a valuable person of Nissan Africa, the Managing Director, Mr. Whitfield, stated, "The new Nissan assembling plant situated in Ghana, West Africa is the most modern plant." He also showed faith in the government's policies by stating that the plant was possible only because of the safe environment provided by President Afuko-Addo in Tema, Ghana.

The efforts are worth praising and have started to bear sweet fruits already.
