According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, the total number of cars on the roads in Ghana has increased drastically in the last 15 years, from around 159,000 in 2005 to almost 1,000,000 last year in 2017, according to our surveys and metrics collected with local professionals.

Those metrics are of course not totally accurate, as you can see with the trafic jams and number of cars in the streets of Accra and all around Ghana, as it is not totally capturing the import car market, as well as the cars from neighbouring countries circulating on the roads of Ghana.

But the number of cars in circulation is growing fast and will probably more than double in the next decade in Ghana.
