Vivo Energy Ghana launched an oil marketing App for motorists in October last year. The Shell App has various features to guide motorists in matters Shell oil products and services. The Shell App is available on Apple Store for IOS users and Google Play for Android users.

The App gives information about Shell to consumers, oil products available and their prices. It also has a feature that shows changes in oil prices across the country. The Shell App is also equipped to provide safe and efficient driving strategies. The App can be used to identify quick service restaurants in all Shell service stations in the country.

Vivo Energy Ghana is the sole licensee for Shell petroleum products in Ghana market. The company’s managing director, Mr. Ebenezer Faulkner, stated that it was important in Vivo Energy Ghana to adopt technology innovations. This is important in delivering services to the changing consumer needs. This was during the launch of Shell App event in Ghana. He added that the App was an important element in fulfilling the company’s commitment to convenience in service delivery to consumers. The Shell App is a strategy for simplifying motorists’ lives and enabling them to acquire Shell services at their convenience.

Mr. Faulkner encouraged motorists to download the Shell App to their phones and make use of it. Shell App contains the following features; Mi Garage, Shell Locator, Shell Products and News, Tell Shell and Shell Drive. The Minister of Energy, Hon Boakye Agyarko also congratulated Vivo Energy Ghana for its innovative marketing strategy in Ghana. He added that such a move would expand its petroleum products consumer base was welcomed. It would also contribute to the growth of the Ghanaian Market. He also praised Vivo Energy Ghana for its clean performance record in safety. Shell has achieved over nine years in service without a major accident occurrence. He was also pleased with the contributions made to sustainable community development made in Vivo Energy Ghana.

Vivo Energy has also made other strides in the adoption of technology for service delivery. In 2015, the company launched Ezypass fuel card which is visa enabled and is multipurpose. Vivo Energy Ghana also opened a state of the art branch dubbed Haatso Shell service station. This station incorporated partners such as ATM farms, MBJ Pharmacy, KFC and Exotic trends. This shows that the company is thoroughly committed to quality service delivery to its customers and developers.
